The environmental impact report of the technical upgrading project of environmental-friendly high-simulation superfine fabric for automotive interior of Shandong Kaitai Superfine Fiber Co., Ltd. (re-submission for approval) has been completed. In accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Impact Assessment Law and the Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment, the relevant information of the construction project is hereby announced as follows:

Project Name: Technical Upgrading Project of Environmental-friendly High-simulation Superfine Fabric for Automotive Interior (Re-submission for Approval)
Construction Location: Within the factory area of Shandong Kaitai Superfine Fiber Co., Ltd., Liutuan Industrial Park, Changyi Binhai (Xiaying) Economic Development Zone, Changyi City, Weifang City, Shandong Province
Construction Content: The total land area for the technical transformation is 15,400 square meters (new factory buildings within the existing factory area, no additional land area), with a total construction area of 13,900 square meters. The project will newly purchase 78 sets of production equipment including toluene reduction production lines, toluene recovery devices, toluene storage tanks, grinding and granulation recovery production lines, and blending machines, to replace some of the existing alkali reduction production lines. After the transformation, the toluene reduction production line can achieve an annual production capacity of 9 million square meters of environmental-friendly fixed-island type high-simulation superfine fabric for automotive interior, while maintaining an annual production capacity of 3 million square meters for alkali reduction. Three new production workshops, tank areas, toluene recovery devices and other auxiliary facilities have been completed within the factory area for the technical transformation. The alkali reduction process has been relocated to the newly built fiber opening workshop. Meanwhile, the existing workshops have been equipped with the newly added grinding and granulation equipment and dry method fabric forming equipment. In this project, the water-based slurry used in the original dry method fabric forming process is changed to oil-based slurry. The environmental impact assessment mainly focuses on the fiber opening process (toluene reduction and alkali reduction), drying process, dry method fabric forming process, and granulation process within the factory area.
