Global Sports has officially announced the return of the Global Sports Pro & Challenger Pickleball League, following the resounding success of its inaugural season. Registration for the much-anticipated second season began on April 1, 2025, with the league scheduled to take place from December 16 to 23, 2025.
The league aims to solidify its reputation as a premier event in India’s rapidly growing pickleball community. With a prize pool of $62,500 for Pro teams and $12,500 for Challenger teams, the competition is set to attract top talent while providing a platform for emerging players.
The team selection process will involve an auction in July or August 2025, where 75 Pro and 75 Challenger players will be shortlisted. From this pool, 50 Pro and 50 Challenger players will be drafted into teams of five. Further elevating the sport, Global Sports also plans to introduce a Grand Slam of Pickleball, adding another exciting dimension to the tournament.
Shashank Khaitan, a partner at Global Sports, emphasized the league’s role in fostering a thriving pickleball ecosystem. He highlighted the opportunity for Indian players to gain international recognition, reinforcing the company’s mission to develop the sport and nurture both established and rising talent.
